I am going to be honest…I am not creative all the time. The truth is nobody is creative all the time. 

Lately, I have been in a rut. I own a small business called Blank2Life Creations & for the last couple of weeks or probably for about a month now I have felt so uncreative. Yes, if you didn’t know…. un-creativity is a thing. This uncreativity has kinda halted my creative juices from flowing and has pushed me away from giving myself permission to create.

As someone who is usually on a creative drive it doesn’t feel good. 

Recently, I realized that “Uncreativity” is not my issue, it’s my belief. Belief is the underlying force that pushes one to feeling comfortable creating no matter what. I’ve had A LOT of ideas for crafts, writing, and my business but because my belief was low I was too afraid to actually execute them. 

A lack of belief can come from a whole host of things — one big driver is SOCIAL MEDIA. Trust me, I love social media. It is a great tool that helps me grow my business, connect with customers, and get inspired. However, it can easily drain me OUT because sometimes the time spent on it can result in me just comparing my ideas, myself, and my progress.

ANYWAYS…now that I have all that out there. If you are feeling in the same rut as a creative, business owner, student, etc. I’m guessing you probably thinking, “Efuaye, how can I increase my belief when it comes to my creativity?” The answer is AFFIRMATIONS!
